Please pray as I spend time with C my soul-deep friend of more than five years, friends for 35 years.
Over the last 3 to 5 years, we’ve become trusted anchors in each other’s healing.
We’re not dating, haven’t had “the talk,” and she lives 3 hours away.
She’s a psychologist—wise, faith-filled—who’s walked through abuse and painful relationships with remarkable grace.
I’ve walked my own path of recovery too—restoring after mistakes, heartbreak, and hard inner work.
We haven’t chased each other—just stayed present, vulnerable, and intentional.
At 56, we’re learning that love shaped by healing is patient, sacred, and worth waiting for.
Please pray for:
Courage to name what’s quietly forming
Clarity to navigate this tender, unfamiliar space
Freedom from fear, so past wounds don’t write today’s story
Protection of this friendship, no matter the outcome
That we follow Jesus with open hands, wise hearts, and expectant peace
This may be the beginning of something God has been building—not suddenly, but slowly, steadily. A story built from presence, not pursuit.
