Please ask my child’s mother in Philippines to have a softened heart of compassion. I have repeatedly asked for time to video with my son for 6 months now and she makes me wait for 8-12 hrs and then when she does take a call he’s either sleepy or eating or around a bunch of people to distract him. She won’t answer any questions I ask about him or translate to him what I am saying thus attempting to annihilate his chance at knowing me as his father or teaching him any English, 1 Cor 14:12.
I ask she have a change of mind regarding the importance of a child’s relationship with his father and repents of passive-aggression in her attempts to wound, confound and frustrate me.
I have been asking she have spiritual growth, hunger for God’s Word and ways, 1 Pet 2:2, and change for 18 months, Acts 3:19. It was 9 months ago she lied to me about the business she wanted to start and stole a year’s wages (Philippines). Let’s not sin against God in ceasing to pray for her, 1 Sam 12:23.
I now ask for grace to “suffer well” and “bear up under” this, 2 Tim 2:10, for God is ready to grant the crown of life if I learn to persevere under afflictions of the soul, James 1:12, and pray out of love for those who despitefully use and persecute me, Matt 5:44 . She literally wants him to grow up not knowing me, Luke 23:34. I confess I am not good at suffering in this situation, Heb 12:11.
I see her actions as sick and twisted, but The Holy Spirit reminds us through Job there was something going on behind the scenes, Job 1:6-7, 8-9, 9-10, 11-12, Eph 6:12.
After hypocritically reasoning “Job only serves God because God gives him great blessing,” Job 1:9-10, (which oddly enough didn’t work for lucifer, which name he is only referenced to in retrospect, (as Gollem was once known as Smeagol before a similar affliction befell him, howbeit his fall was not as “swift as lightening as was satan’s, Luke 10:18), though the devil was seemingly the most preeminent among angels in features and benefits, Isaiah 14, Ezek 28, this one-time “light-bearer” didn’t serve God very joyfully, of which fact his odious pride blinds him more like a steel girder in his eye than a plank, Matt 7:4-5, nor did he serve God willingly, as the remaining, intelligent and sensible two-thirds of angles do, (Cross-reference, c.f., Ps 103:20 with Rev 12:4) and as Job had up until the about that time, as we shall soon see…He looses all his possessions and children in the rest of the chapter as a direct result of God initiating a conversation with “that dragon, the serpent of old,” who has accrued several other nemicidal aliases, Rev 12:9, this one revealed is “the accuser of the brethern,” Rev 12:10. Job makes it through round one well…
In Job 2:1-2, 2-3, 4-5, 5-6, 7, Our adversary the devil proves quite the salesman, for he is granted permission once more to afflict Job — the devil somehow talks himself out of prison for a brief and ineffective parole sentence, can you imagine the devil in prison for 1000 years trying to be on good behavior? I don’t actually think the devil is his own lawyer hear, but it’s fun to imagine, c.f. Ezek 38:8-9, Rev 20:7…
(Btw, The Holy Spirit DOES inspire Scripture and does so not in a totally chronological order, “let the reader understand,” Matt 24:15, Mark 13:14, but is far more “stream-of-consciousness” than James Joyce, [Dubliners, Ulysses], or William Faulkner, [The Sound and the Fury, As I Lay Dying], what the heck, let’s throw in Joseph Heller, [Catch 22]). He especially uses the method through The Apostle John, [The Gospel of John, 1st John, 2nd John, 3rd John, The Revelation of Jesus Christ], as well as The Writers of The Psalms, and nearly ALL of The Prophets. Even Paul and Peter are all over the place — That’s why even Jesus… oh well, I pray we get to finish that thought later… Maybe I should write a book one day? I’ve been waiting until I know the Bible first… Let’s pray about that and by all means let’s get back to Job and my prayer)….
…Job, after walking in The Spirit for all of SIX verses once excruciatingly painful boils ravage his body (as a direct snapshot of the wickedness of the evil one), Job 2:8-9, 9-10, 10-11, 12-13 — Job first curses the day he was born, Job 3:1 and thus begins his diatribe against God lasting for TWENTY-NINE Chapters. (God, who had truthfully allowed this to occur to a man who in the very words of God, was God-fearing and blameless, and even seemingly “picks a fight with the devil over Job, MUST have something he is trying to reveal)… JOB comes under increasingly hostile accusations (wonder who was influencing them, 2 Cor 2:11? Anyway they bicker back and forth for TWENTY-NINE Chapters, from chapter 3 to Chapter 31, and as a wise saying says, “In quarreling, the truth is always lost.”
FINALLY, Elihu comes out of nowhere in Job 32 and praises God and speaks real truth for the first time since chapter 3!!! Whew! He is basically like a John The Baptist sent on to prepare the way before The LORD — all the way until the end of Job 37…
Then GOD comes to convert Job, Job 38:1, and Job needs it, because the same devil that had twisted his wife back in Job 2:9 had in all actuality, in an actual time in history, medically and emotionally twisted Job — even Elihu couldn’t turn him back. This was a task for God alone in a Theophany Whirlwind— and a need for a return to covenantal "attitude of the righteous," Luke 1:17!
God asks Job 70 questions, to which Job had no answer, starting with Job 38:1-2, 3-4, 5-6… He continues in Job 38, 39, 40, 41. Afterward, only Job did something, he confessed! “I spoke about things I didn’t understand,” he admitted he was wrong, put his hand over his mouth to demonstrate he was speechless, and repented in dust and ashes,” Job 42:1-2, 3, 6 — He then was taught to pray for his friends (who did not utter any confession on record of their gross errors of misjudgment, nor had they repented as job had, Job 42:7-8, 9). The “fair weather friends” do what God tells them regarding necessary sacrifices of ablution, and God restores Job’s blessings by 100% (double) when Job presides as priest at God’s command, prays for them, and He restores to him children in place of the first (Cross-reference, c.f., Job 1:2-3 vs Job 42:12-13, possessions doubled, children replaced)...
I ask God “gives more grace,” Jam 4:6, in letting me see more clearly the truth of discipline as clear proof of God’s obligation in child training, training me as his child, inherent within the context of adoption, Heb 12:6-7. I ask for the attitude of Christ Jesus, Phil 2:5-6, 7, 8, 9 and for grace to be a better witness under pressures within and without, 2 Cor 7:4-5, 6. But let’s ask for the sake of the boy she incurs the blessing of the conviction of The Holy Spirit, Jn 16:8, and thoroughly repents for the sake of her soul and the boy, Deut 12:28. We ask for the boy’s protection, Ps 91:11-12, as well as hers — and mine 😅, Heb 1:14, for clearly the devil is raging, Rev 12:12. We submit to God, resist him, and say he’ll FLEE, James 4:7. As always, keep us from evil, Matt 6:13, evil people and the evil one who works through them, 2 Thes 3:2-3. Thank you in Jesus’ Name…
