They recorded the names who received Christ's free gift of salvation through faith and received Bibles -- Thank You Lord and thank everyone for your prayers! You get the same eternal reward as those who reap, 1 Sam 30:23-24, 25, John 4:36, 1 Cor 3:8 -- who gets more eternal credit in Acts 10, Peter who preached, or old Cornelius who prayed and gave alms attracting the attention of heaven and sending his people to go get Peter, Acts 10:1-2, 3-4, 5, or Peter, Luke 5:8, who was "a sinful man" who had been changed by the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 from one who had been, with the rest, in unbelief, Mk 16:14, hiding behind locked doors, Jn 20:19, to "take his stand” and declare Jesus is The Risen Lord and command repentance and baptism? Acts 2:1-2, 3-4, 5, 14...
I don't know, but I'd say the one who gets less credit on earth will get more for eternity in heaven, Matt 6:3-4, 5-6. I think that anonymity is one blessing of the internet, but it, too, can be a stumbling block and must always watch our motives, Rom 14:12, 1 Cor 3:13, 2 Cor 5:10, Heb 4:12-13.
What is the message we announce, btw? What have we seen and heard and received, that we now announce so others can have true fellowship with us and the Father and Son, 1 Jn 1:1-2, 3? It’s the message that “God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all, 1 Jn 1:5. The message that walking in darkness and sin destroyed fellowship with God. It’s the message of hope for total freedom from sin and total reconciliation to God in partnership again with Him as His Ambassadors of reconciliation 2 Cor 10:18-19, 20, calling those who have lost the true purpose of their creation, Rom 6:22, by grace and eternal life in Christ Jesus who paid our debt of death and eternal separation with His death on the cross, Rom 3:25, Rom 5:1, Rom 6:23 -- our response is total surrender and lifelong repentance from ruling their own lives, confession of sinning by breaking the commands of God and falling short of the glory -- Rom 3:23, -- God's Glory was the purpose of creation (to image God, Gen 1:27, Eph 5:1) to have meaningful purpose, Gen 2:15, to obey Him, Gen 2:16-17, to be in community, Gen 2:18 and fellowship with Him on joint ventures, Gen 2:19, meeting with them in the cool of the day, -- it's from this glory we have all sinned and fallen, Rom 3:23, and our iniquities had separated us from the Lord, Isa 59:2... God fixes the problem of communication breakdown... Receiving forgiveness and God's Righteousness as a free gift as free as the Bible they received. Faith comes from hearing this message preached about what Christ did, Rom 10:17, and how believing in our heart God raised Him from the dead and what that means to us and what He is calling us to now -- surrender back to dependence on His Word and to image Him and give Him glory and obedience for the rest of eternity -- confessing with our mouth "Jesus is Lord" -- Kurios in Greek -- Ruler... Rom 9:8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15. Notice the points Paul makes are by reclaiming Scripture -- when he says, "The RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written, The just shall live by faith, Rom 1:17 -- He's saying that the Gospel is revealed by one person who was lost and then came alive, being born again, John 3:3, or re-generated, Tit 3:5-6, a former sinner, like Peter, who confessed he was "a sinful man," Luke 5:8, and Paul who confessed, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am chief," 1 Tim 1:15 -- THAT PERSON, once sinful, now "ALIVE in Christ in Newness of LIFE," now confidently preaching, 1 Cor 1:18, 21, 23 -- (AND patiently explaining without wavering, 1 Pet 3:15 -- JUST as important [even more important] when sharing with certain people and in particular circumstances, especially familial, see 1 Pet 3:1-2, 7-8, 9, Eph 6:4, 2 Tim 3:15) -- either way the NOW SAVED PERSON overcomes the devil, who has blinded people, BY SHARING JESUS -- The Word of Their Testimony is not just our own explanation of what Christ did -- which is EXTREMELY VALID -- but THE TESTIMONY OF WHAT JESUS DID -- THAT is THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROPHECY ---> That creates faith, Rom 10:17, it comes from hearing the MESSAGE of THE CROSS, 1 Cor 1:18, 1 Cor 2:2, 2 Cor 5:21, Gal 6:14, Acts 4:10-11, 12, 1 Pet 1:18-19, 1 John 5:11-12, John 3:16-17... 8 But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for “EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” 14 How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? 15 But how are they to preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written: “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” Just sign like the inmates signed their names to receive free Bibles we do to receive the free gift of eternal life -- THEN GIVE THE PEN BACK TO GOD to let Him fill out what He wants you to do for the rest of your life, like you gave the pen back to the chaplain... Amen... That is Christ's Gospel... It shouldn't sound strange, but the message has been watered down, especially in The USA and other areas like Europe and the areas they have infected with false teaching -- it was Jesus major bone with the Pharisees is that they had made the Righteous Requirements of God's Law into something attainable, leaving no room for the need of a Suffering Messiah to actually die for them -- More on that at another time... It also came through a monstrous error that infected the church through an unproven and pernicious theory in 1859 (attempting to undermine Gen 1:1 with the doctrine of demons, 1 Tim 4:1, 2 Pet 2:1, writing fiction that the slightest differences among an isolated species on a certain island group could justify a universal leap to everything being derived from a different class, phylum or even kingdom in taxonomic terms -- ignoring Col 2:8 by paying attention to empty and hollow unproven and unable to prove -- philosophies -- erroneous belief systems -- if Christ washes with the water of The Word, then the devil vomits out false doctrine as water, Rev 12:15, he is a liar and murderer from the beginning, Jn 8:44, and can't do otherwise, and his most effective means are two-fold, straight lies about not trusting God's Word and character, see Gen 3:1-2, 3-4, half-truths -- see how he uses the word of God after seeing Jesus was sure of it in Matt 4:16... Also, from false "visions" where the devil told people to believe something different from what the Bible says, ignoring Jer 23:25-26, 27-28, 29-30, 30-31, 32)... Again, more on that at another time... For now, let's get back to what Jesus CLEARLY TAUGHT... Matt 16:24 "Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. See also Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23, John 12:25... "Whoever loves his life will lose it, but whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him," John 12:25. Cross-reference, c.f., Gal 2:20, 1 Peter 2:24, ***Please pray for chaplains to have grace to shepherd the 400+ new believers out of 2200+ something inmates in 3 days... The two chaplains confessed they had been feeling "lonely" and "overwhelmed" by the darkness and lack of fruit, oppression and spiritual darkness. They expressed gratitude and that it felt as if The Lord sent "reinforcements" to strengthen their hands. We ask many would be called to continue the work on in an ongoing manner -- some have been serving for 15 years, others, 12, 8, 3 -- et cetera -- May God strengthen them all to endure until the end, Matt 24:13, Mk 13:13, Lk 21:19, Jn 21:22, Rom 2:7, 1 Cor 15:58, Gal 6:9, Heb 10:36, James 1:2, Rev 2:10, Rev 3:10, Rev 14:12. The "singing" combo with preaching proved efficacious -- Seems the prayer to bind the enemy and then plunder his goods is a good model -- Matt 12:29, Mk 3:27, Lk 11:21-22, Isa 49:24-25, Col 2:15, Heb 2:14, 1 Jn 3:8. We first interceded for the transgressors, Is 53:12, for new hearts, Ezek 36:26, and resisted the devil in submission to God and His Word in the authority of Jesus' Name, Matt 4:10, James 4:7, Jude 1:9, 1 Pet 5:8, Zech 3:2. We also asked for confidence and words to be given us to make known with boldness the mystery in the gospel, Eph 6:19-20, for Christ's love to be our supreme motivation, 2 Cor 5:14, humbling ourselves to ask for prayer for ourselves, Acts 4:29-30, Col 4:3, 1 Thes 5:25, 2 Cor 1:11, 2 Thes 3:1-2, Heb 13:18 and the new believers and their chaplains or pastors, 2 Tim 2:1-2, 3, both before and after, John 17:9, 12, 15, 17, 20; Eph 1:17-18, 19-20, Eph 6:18; Phil 1:9-10, 11; Col 1:9-10, 11-12; James 5:16, Revelation 8:3-4. Continue to provide the “reinforcements” that "refreshed the spirits of the saints" Philemon 1:7, righteous guards and chaplains -- Continue to "restore, secure, strengthen and establish them, to Him be the power forever and ever," 1 Pet 5:10. May "His Divine power" Bless those You’ve called to the prison ministry with "everything they need for life and godliness," 2 Pet 1:3. Thank You for the new believers. Jesus, we ask You “open their minds to understand The Scriptures,” Luke 24:45. Let them “continue in Your Word, becoming true disciples, knowing the truth that grants continual freedom,”John 8:31-32 (ongoing freedom by renewing of the mind, c.f. Rom 12:2-3). Root them and ground them in love, Eph 3:17, and regarding "THOSE The LORD KNOWS ARE HIS... LET EVERYONE who names the Name of The Lord ABSTAIN from wickedness," 2 Tim 2:19, FOR PRISON AND CERTAIN DRUG REHABS LIKE TEEN CHALLENGE & OTHERS ARE A CRUCIBLE OF SIFTING OUT THE HEARTS OF MEN BEFORE THE JUDGEMENT SEAT... As Elihu wisely and clearly explains... Job 36:8-9, 10-11, "And if men are bound with chains, caught in cords of affliction, 9 then He tells them their deeds and how arrogantly they have transgressed. 10 He opens their ears to correction and commands that they turn from iniquity. 11 If they obey and serve Him, then they end their days in prosperity and their years in happiness. 12 But if they do not obey, then they perish by the sword and die without knowledge." Compare this with the "tree" Jesus spoke of that had not born fruit in Luke 13:6,7,8,9 "Then Jesus told this parable: 'A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. 7 So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, "Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?" 8 "Sir," the man replied, "leave it alone again this year, until I dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine. But if not, you can cut it down."'" Consider Rev 2:21-22, "I gave her time to repent but she was unwilling. Therefore I will cast her down..." "But, beloved, we are convinced of better things regarding you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we are speaking in this way," Heb 6:9... Father, we are thankful and offer them as an offering to You, Rom 15:16, asking You draw near them as they draw near in prayer, Jam 4:8, and fellowship, 1 Jn 1:7, and when they’re released — let them be planted in the House if The LORD to flourish in the courts if their God , Ps 92:13-14. Let them know the hope of their calling, Eph 1:18, know Your will with wisdom and understanding, walk worthy of the Lord, Col 1:9-10. Keep them from false teaching and persecution, Acts 20:Rev 12:9, deception and lies, Prov 30:8 and give them wisdom — the fear of The Lord, Prov 9:10, the hatred of evil, Prov 8:13. Keep them from temptation, Luke 11:4, temptation and evil, Matt 6:13, evil people, 2 Thes 3:2 and the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3 — thank You in Jesus’ Name, Jn 14:13-14, thank You, Jesus, our Amen, Rev 3:14, in whose Name and in Him all the promises of God are Yes, 2 Cor 1:20. 🙏 Father in Heaven -- Be with the team and help them learn the harmonies, melodies and lyrics. Give unity and let the high praises of God i their mouth execute the judgement written as if there were a two-edged sword in their hands -- it's an honor for your Godly Ones, Ps 149:9. Send out Your light and Your truth, Ps 43:3, allowing us first to understand and believe in Christ, Matt 11:25, Matt 16:17, 1 Cor 1:30, and then to announce it to others, 1 Jn 1:1-2, 3. Thank You for grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is The Gift of God, not a result of works, that no one may boast, Eph 2:8-9. Thank You we are justified freely by His grace through the payment of the debt required to release us, since the minimum wage for sin is death, Rom 6:23, but the Free Gift of God is eternal life IN Christ Jesus Our Lord, Amen.
