Understanding "Jealousy" "Righteous Anger vs Anger of Man" & Mercy... There is a lot in the Bible about "Jealousy," even God's Name is "Jealous," Ex 34:14. "For jealousy is a husband’s fury," Prov 6:34... There was a whole ritual about if a "spirit of jealousy comes over a man and he suspects his wife has defiled herself," Numbers 5:13-14... Pictures with other men on her phone??? And of many other men??? -- Which I am willing to forgive, but not admitting it and running back to her province all the time??? Wanting to keep the truck there so she can get around??? Whew! That's a hard one 😅...
I believe 1 Cor 13:4 is correctly translated, "love does not envy," not "is not jealous" -- for that would deny the nature of GOD HIMSELF as defined by Him Himself, since "God is Love," and God is Jealous," and invalidate everything that is written, even in The New Testament, "For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have engaged you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." 2 Cor 11:2.
Yet it is also "patient" and "kind" 1 Cor 13:4, and God is "slow to anger" Ex 34:5-6, but "doesn't clear the unrepentant," Ex 34:7... And Jesus' gets hot over some things, Matt 21:12-13, and is angered and grieved at hardness of heart of others, Mark 3:15 -- He has kind words when he deals with The Seven Churches but does call out their sins and warn them of the removal of lamp stands and such if they do not repent (Revelation 2:1-29, Rev 3:1-6, (Only Philadelphia escapes -- City of Brotherly Love, Rev 3:7-13), but the rest are warned severely and are commanded to repent, Rev 3:14-22.
Anyway, the LOVE of JESUS is the point -- and help me model it and teach it to myself, her, every family member, those near and dear and those far off and beyond to extended family, friends especially any who might consider me an enemy -- let me be a living ambassador Your love to be known and read by all people groups, everywhere, 2 Cor 3:2, “What to say and HOW to say it,” John 12:49.
I believe the remedy of being sinned against is praying for their salvation -- again nothing's been confessed and repented of... Salvation is still needed, 1 Tim 2:3-4, repentance isn't optional, "having overlooked your times of ignorance He is now commanding everyone everywhere to repent, having fixed a certain Day of Judgment by Jesus, proving it by raising Him from the dead, Acts 17:30, 31, 32, 2 Pet 3:9 -- but please help me say truth in LOVE, Eph 4:15, and be filled "filled with GRACE and truth," John 1:14, (note John that for John, Jesus' grace preceeds truth in his description of The Word).
Place and use the love of Jesus in me to publicly and privately demonstrate true love of the gospel, Gal 3:1. I know about boundaries, lack of commitment, but we have both made mistakes, just I have honestly repented of them (very strictly since the Evangelism Training end of last July)... There was nothing admitted on her end -- honestly once her debts were paid and I (unjustly) lost my temper over the continued lying and denials, she was "gone."
Fill me with the Knowledge of Your Will in All Spiritual Wisdom and Understanding, So I May Walk in a Manner Worthy of The Lord, Pleasing Him in All Respects, Bearing Fruit in Every Good Work, Growing in the Knowledge of God, Strengthened with All Power, according to The Might of Your Glory, for the Attaining of All Steadfastness and Patience, Joyously Giving Thanks to The Father who Qualified US to Share in The Inheritance of the Saints in the Light," Col 1:9-12.

What to say (εϊπω) and how to say it (λαλήσω) -- (dicam) and (loquar), Latin Vulgate, are supposed to discriminate matter (content) and form (style of speech), as another commentator says, “My words and their manner and tone are all of them the outcome of the Father's (ἐντολὴ) command (John 12:49 Commentaries: "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.).
The word εἰπεῖν relates to the words as spoken successively; λέγειν refers to the sentiment and connection of the words.
The former relating to the SUBSTANCE, and the latter to the FORM of Jesus' utterances.
"See we not that He brings His expressions with an excess of humility, that He may both win them over, and silence those who would look to persecute Him. This is why He utters words appropriate to humanity, that He may help us bridge the severity of the sayings, as being conscious that the words belong not to Him, but The Father, and are thus tailored, even suited to the weakness of the hearers," John Chrysostom, c. 347 – 407, was a Church Father who served as Archbishop of Constantinople.
