Our Commitment to Privacy and Restrictions on Use of Our Site
NationalPrayerBank.com is an internet property of Footstool Productions, LLC ("we," "us," “our”). Your privacy is very important to us.  In this Privacy Policy ("Policy") we explain our online information practices, and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This policy applies both to members and non-members (collectively "Users"). We will use reasonable efforts to make this statement available via a link on our homepage and elsewhere on our site for easy reference.  Please note that by visiting this website, you consent to the collection of your information by us as set forth in this Policy.

The Information We Collect

We gather two types of information about Users:

·              Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions which include but is not limited to the following: becoming a member, submitting prayer requests, emailing or forwarding prayer requests to friends, registering that you have prayed.

·              Information that users do not provide to us but which is non-personally identifiable information, such as IP address, aggregate user data, and browser type.  This information allows us to better manage and improve our services, tailor our content to User’s needs, better understand the demographics of our audience, and it is used for security purposes.   Under no circumstances do we divulge any information about an individual user to a third party except in the following situations: (a) to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, (b) to enforce the Site's Terms of Use, or (c) to protect the personal safety of Members and other Users.

We gather user information in the following processes:

·              Optional Voluntary Information - This statement applies to all information collected or submitted on this Site and sites under common ownership with the Site, including without limitation NationalPrayerBank.org and NationalPrayerBank.com. We collect information on the registration forms that you complete in connection with becoming a member, through which you will receive access to members' area webpage with links to resources, databases, and search sites. During the course of the collection of this information, it may be shared automatically with third parties; you will see links to those privacy policies on the applicable pages. You agree to these statements, in their entirety, when you: (a) access or use our Site; (b) agree to receive prayer requests from us on this Site or via any other means; (c) provide any information to us on this Site or via any other means; and/or (d) register to become a member of the Site.

Regarding Optional Voluntary Information
The following is a list of the primary free services offered by us on the Site which require some type of voluntary submission of personal information by users.  This list should be used as a guide and is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of every service available on the Site.

1.   Becoming a Member
We offer Users the option of becoming a member.  Membership to the Site gives Users the ability to submit prayer requests, and have access to numerous features and resources offered by the Site.

2.   Submitting Private Prayer Requests
We provide members the ability to submit private prayer requests and share these prayer requests with, non-members, and other members.  Viewers are determined by whom the member invites to pray.  Members should be aware that prayer requests can be forwarded by those Users invited to pray.  Caution should be exercised in what information is shared and to whom it is shared.  We take no responsibility for those who may be invited to pray or who may receive a prayer request via a forwarded email.  We have no control over who views any submitted or forwarded prayer requests.   Abuse of this feature should immediately be reported to us.

3.   Submitting Public Prayer Requests
Members have the ability to choose privacy settings on submitted prayer requests to help regulate who views the request.  Members have the option of posting public prayer requests.  Members should be aware that public prayer requests can be viewed by anyone visiting the Site.  Extreme caution should be exercised in posting public prayer requests and divulging personal information about the person receiving prayer.  We take no responsibility for who views public prayer requests or how the information posted is used.  We have no control over the content or accuracy of public prayer requests. Inappropriate Prayer Requests and/or any abuse of this feature should immediately be reported to us.

4. Forwarding Links Policy
Members can electronically forward a link, page, or document to other Members or non-members. The Member must provide their email address, as well as that of the recipient. This information is used only in the case of transmission errors and, of course, to let the recipient know who sent the email. The information is not used for any other purpose.

5. Registering Prayers
Users may register their prayers.  The National Prayer Bank tallies the number of prayers that are registered so that users can be encouraged by the number of people who are praying.  We take no responsibility for who registers prayers and/or any information posted during the registering process.   Inappropriate use and/or any abuse of this feature should immediately be reported to us.

6. Posting Messages on Prayer Walls
Members may post messages on prayer walls as a means of providing encouragement to those receiving prayer.   We take no responsibility for the content or accuracy of these messages.  Inappropriate use and/or any abuse of this feature should immediately be reported to us.

Regarding Automatic Involuntary Information
We also collect non-personally identifiable information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout the Site. Non-personally identifiable information is information collected in the normal course of operating the Site that does not reveal the specific identity of the user. This data records a User's activity either on the Site or within the Site-initiated email. This information allows us to better tailor our content to readers' needs. The types of non-personally identifiable information collected include:

1.       Internet protocol ("IP") address

2.       Consumer click-stream data

3.       Consumer email-open data

4.       Aggregate click-stream data provided to us by third party companies

Usage Tracking
We track user traffic patterns throughout all of our sites. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. We do break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).

We sometimes track and catalog the search terms that users enter in our Search function, but this tracking is never associated with individual users. We use tracking information to determine which areas of the Sites users like and do not like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.

Sharing of Information
We use the above-described information to tailor our content to suit your needs and help Footstool Productions, LLC better understand our members' demographics.  We will not sell or share information about individual Users with any third party, except in the following situations (a) to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, (b) to enforce the Site's Terms of Use Agreement, or (c) to protect the personal safety of Members and other users.

Security
We endeavor to safeguard and protect our Users' information. When Users submit information on the Site, such information is protected both online and offline. The servers in which we store our users' personal information are kept in a secure physical environment. We have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information under our control.

We do not require any payments for access to our Members' area, and therefore do not protect or secure credit card or other payment transactions. We may provide links to independent third party sites that require such payments, but we do not accept any liability for the security of credit card or other data transmitted to such third parties.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never knowingly accept, collect or maintain information on our Site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our Site is structured to attract anyone under 13.

The Way We Use Information
We use any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience on our network of sites, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the sites or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users.

As stated above, we use information that users voluntarily provide for prayer and encouragement which includes, enabling users to share prayer requests, registering prayers, tallying prayers, updating prayer requests, sending out reminders to pray, and emailing letters of encouragement.

We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and do not like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We track search terms entered in the Search function as one of many measures of what interests our users. But we do not track which terms a particular user enters.

We create aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns so that we can better serve those that use the National Prayer Bank.  We will not disclose any information about any individual user except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

Data Collection Practices by Third Parties
You can access certain third party websites through our Site.  When you opt to enter into a transaction with, receive information from, or provide information to such third parties, they have separate privacy and data collection practices and we assume no responsibility relating to them.  We do not endorse, nor are we liable for the accuracy of the privacy policies and/or terms and conditions of any third party on the Site. Third party entities are independent and are not affiliated with us. You should read the privacy policies of such third party websites to make sure that you agree to their terms before using such websites. If you wish to opt out of receiving mailings from such third parties, you must do so directly with them, or as otherwise provided on or through their respective websites.

Cookies and Clear gifs
You must allow cookies and pop-up windows to be active on your system to participate on the Site. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your hard drive. Cookies do not spy on you or otherwise invade your privacy, and they cannot invade your hard drive and steal information. Rather, they help you navigate a website as easily as possible. Our Site utilizes cookies to collect information about how our Site is used. Information gathered from cookies may include the date and time of visits, the Site pages viewed, time spent at the Site, and the websites that you visited just before and just after your visit to our Site. If you do not wish to transmit "cookie" information about yourself, you may turn off the cookie function in your web browser. Please consult the "Help" section of your web browser in order to correctly turn off or disable the cookie functions. However, turning off or disabling the cookie functions on your web browser may prevent our system from properly recognizing you when you visit our Site, and consequently may make your participation in our Program more difficult or invalid.

The Site's servers also automatically identify your computer by its IP address, which is a unique string of numbers that is assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider.  IP addresses are automatically logged by web servers, collecting information about a user's traffic patterns. While the IP address does not identify an individual by name, it may, with the cooperation of the ISP, be used to locate and identify an individual using the Internet. Your IP address can, however, reveal what geographic area you are connecting from, or which ISP you are using. Your IP address may be used to address problems with our server, administer our Site and/or to gather broad demographic information about our Members. We reserve the right to retain cookie and pixel tag data indefinitely.

European Union and Other Foreign Nations

We make no representation that the Site is governed by or operated in accordance with the laws of other nations. By using this Site and submitting any personal information, Users from outside of the United States: (a) acknowledge that this Site is subject to United States law, (b) consent to the transfer of personal data to the United States, and (c) waive any claims that may arise under their own national laws.

Governing Law
This Policy for the Site shall be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama, as it is applied to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within such state, without regard to conflict of law principles.  You agree that any cause of action you or we bring to enforce this Policy and/or the Terms of Use Agreement, or in connection with any matters related to this Site and/or this Policy, shall be brought only in either the state or Federal courts located in Birmingham, Alabama. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Alabama for any cause of action arising out of this Policy.

If any provision of this Policy, or the application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid for any reason, then such provision shall be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that matches, as closely as possible, the original provision, and the other provisions of this Policy shall remain in full force and effect. The failure of either party to insist upon strict performance of any provision of this Policy shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Unless expressly provided otherwise, this Policy and the Terms of Use Agreement for this Site are the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the use of this Site.

We make no guarantee on submitted prayer requests and do not take responsibility for how God answers Members' prayers.  We take no responsibility for any material posted to the Site by Members, Users, or other third parties.
