Prayer Answered! Update by Janet D. at 2:41 pm on Sun 4/29/2012 Thanks to all of you for praying. The event was successful. Please continue to pray for the Saving Grace Home staff that they can have the wisdom and strength to guide the women through the program. Also please pray that for the women as they courageously work to recover from their drug and alcohol addictions.

Original Prayer Request

Please pray that many people will come to learn more about the Saving Grace Home at our annual fundraiser, The Restored Life Event this Thursday, April 26. We need more people to know about Saving Grace so more women's lives can be transformed by coming to know Jesus and His love. We thank you for your prayers last fall. Many wonderful blessings have come to Saving Grace and we attribute it to your prayers. We are so grateful!

Thank you so much for praying! God has answered your prayers for these women. Praise the Lord, Amber* has had a baby boy, and she and her husband are back together. Pray that they will seek God's guidance as they raise their child. Angela* has moved and is in a safe place. Valerie* had her baby and is doing well. Honey* has also had her baby and is doing well. Thanks for faithfully praying for each of these. May the Lord bless you!

Lord, give the women listed here the strength and courage to choose life for their babies. Touch them with your love and give them direction. Remove all fear and grant them a future and a hope secure in you as you meet both their physical and spiritual needs. Be with Angela* who is a mother with small children. She is depressed and has thought about taking her own life. Encourage her and guide her. Bless her little family. Surround her with your support and your love. Be with Valerie* who chose abortion in the past. Give her the strength and courage to choose life for the child she now carries. Give Honey* the security in you to protect the life of her baby. Be with Amber*, who is very alone. Bless Hope* who is single, alone, and very depressed. Tuck each of these women and their precious babies under the wings of your protection. Bless the Women's Health Care Medical Center as they minister to these women. Lord, bless them in Jesus’ name. (*Names were changed to protect each woman’s identity.)

Legal Threats to Close JH Ranch

Update #1 by Brett G. at 7:03 pm on Thu 1/15/2009 I just received an update from JH. Their attorneys are assuring them that even with a worst case outcome, the ranch will be open this summer. Praise God! Here's an excerpt:

Thank you for all of your prayers and for the hundreds of emails and letters sent to the elected officials in the county. The Lord has been incredibly gracious. We now have contacts in the offices of the state senator and assemblyman, and even in Governor Schwarzenegger’s office. Furthermore, the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) has agreed to take on our case. ADF is a noted national association of lawyers that champions the rights of Christians in disputes with the government. Specifically you can pray that the case would be dismissed and sent back to the Department of Planning from the District Attorney office, where it is currently being reviewed. Once that happens we will be able to meet with the Planning Department Supervisor and county attorney to resolve this matter. God must have something really special He wants to do this summer.

The local governing authority in California, the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors, has been petitioned to close operations at JH Ranch.

The Ranch has been operating for 30 years in their present location outside of Etna. Their mission is to help fathers and mothers successfully raise their sons and daughters and introduce them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please pray for God to direct the leadership at the JH Ranch. Also pray that the Lord would fight for them in this legal battle, and that the influence and impact of this ministry would continue to increase.
